A few weeks ago I did some research about how Android apps take advantage of multi-core processors. Specifically, I looked to debunk the myth that Android apps only use one CPU core. My findings basically put an end to that particular fairy tale, however there are other gingerbread houses in the woods that need knocking down! One caveat from this research was that I hadn’t yet had the chance to run my tests on a Cortex-A53/Cortex-A57 setup as my octa-core test device had a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615, which has a quad-core 1.

“I will be shutting down the Hydrogen project, ending a career that has included Oakley, Red Digital Cinema and Hydrogen,” the Red founder explained in the post.

Apparent Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Plus camera specs have emerged online. We could be looking at a 108MP main camera, 13MP periscope lens, and 12MP ultra-wide camera. The Dead Island franchise of first-person action games had a rocky start, but quickly established itself on consoles and PC. Now, publisher Deep Silver has decided to visit mobile in the form of Dead Island: Survivors.
The free-to-play title weighs in at 44MB, which is followed by a 1GB download after launching it. And truth be told, it feels like a mobile game that happens to have the Dead Island branding.

Snapchat Alpha, a redesigned version of the Android app, has surfaced online. The app delivers a general performance boost and several other tweaks. It seems like photo quality on Android hasn’t received a noticeable boost though. The overhauled app, discovered by Twitter user Jane Wong and developer Kieron Quinn (h/t: XDA-Developers), reportedly delivers a faster experience, for starters. So if you found judder to be a major issue in Snapchat on Android, this alone might make it worth a try.

Intel also suggested this idea back in February. Nvidia called off its $40 billion deal to buy Arm earlier this year, citing regulatory hurdles. However, Arm is still up for grabs and Qualcomm has proposed a rather interesting solution.
