Smartphone manufacturers seem to be in a constant race to the top — at least when it comes to making the most expensive device around. However, price fatigue is finally giving way to the return of reasonably priced flagship competitors. OnePlus has always been a leading name in the category — including the OnePlus 8, and now Samsung is throwing its name in the ring too with the Galaxy S20 FE.
Specs and features We’re looking at an 8.4-inch tablet with Pro features – we’re not surprised to see it again, considering that the TabPRO 8.4 whose press image was the first tablet to actually get leaked earlier today. Without further ado, let’s check out its official specs and features:
Size: 128.5 x 219 x 7.2 mm Weight: 331g (Wi-Fi model) 336g (3G/LTE model) 8.4-inch Super Clear LCD display with 2560 x 1600 resolution 2.
Tax season is a tough time of year for many folks. Some only need to drop some health insurance info and their W-2’s into a computer and dance away with a tax return. However, others have difficult things like Schedule C, self-employment tax, retirement interest, student loan interest, and plenty of other weird and difficult tax stuff. There are a lot of ways to file online and most people use popular tax services like TurboTax and H&R Block.
Do you like to inventory with alacrity? Have you ever wanted to categorize not only your every belonging, but compose a history and wish list of your property, too? Well, Google apparently thinks so, because the company is internally testing a new component of Google+ called Google Mine, a service which allows users of the venerable social network share what they own with friends and the public.
Specifically, the new Google Mine service integrates with Google+ to enable the posting of items, the rating and reviewing of items, the uploading of item pictures and videos, and the sharing of the items to Google+ Streams.
Those planning to sign up for AT&T wireless services will come across a very unpleasant surprise. The carrier will raise its activation fees starting August 1st. What’s even more frustrating is that not even off-contract users will be safe from AT&T’s new charges.
Higher activation fees for customers on contract It seems all the money AT&T will get from you in 1-2 years is simply not enough. Not only is the current $40 activation fee among the highest in the industry, but the wireless service provider is showing its greedy business-oriented side by raising fees to $45.
If you have money to burn, Sirin Labs has just stuck its completely overpriced $14,000 Solarin smartphone up for sale. While most of the hardware is quite typical of a modern flagship, albeit with a slightly older Snapdragon 810 processor, there is one rather interesting inclusion being touted by the company – Qualcomm’s X10 LTE modem with WiGig communication technology.
WiGig isn’t broadly supported in the technology industry quite yet, but the promise of multi-gigabit per second data transfer speeds over the air is tough to ignore.
With the built-in GPS the Sony Smartwatch 3 is the best fitness centric Android Wear smartwatch, but that is the only edge this watch holds over the competition. > Related Sony Smartwatch 3 news
It was certainly surprising when Sony introduced the Smartwatch 3 running Android Wear, considering that the company wasn’t officially announced as a hardware partner prior to that. Given the name, this, of course, isn’t Sony’s first foray into the smartwatch game, but definitely garnered a lot of attention by being the first Android Wear device from the company.

Google is rolling out 64-bit versions of Chrome to the Chrome Dev and Chrome Canary versions. Some users are reporting 64-bit versions of the app on earlier revisions of Chrome. Only Android 10 and forward supports 64-bit Chrome for now. It’s been a long wait for anyone with a 64-bit device, but the wait is finally coming to a close, as 64-bit Chrome for Android is coming soon.
Welcome to the 431st edition of Android Apps Weekly. Here are the big headlines from the last week:

Update, May 30, 2019 (11:57AM EST): The Anker Roav Bolt is on sale through Best Buy for just $39.99 ($10 0ff). It’s not a huge discount, but it’s the first one we’ve seen for the device. You can order the device and either have it shipped to your home or have it ready for in-store pick-up.
While it would be incredibly convenient for every car to be equipped with Android Auto, that’s just not the reality.
