A year ago, if you asked me whether I cared how a specific gadget charged, I’d have answered that it didn’t really matter. USB-C, micro-USB, DC input, anything was fine as long as a proper charger was supplied in the box. But perspectives change. Once I discovered that some brands were starting to pick USB-C charging for their small appliances and electronics, finding USB-C versions of things became a mild obsession.

LG is shutting down its mobile developer website on December 31. You won’t be able to get a bootloader unlock key for your phone thereafter. So you should get the key now if you were thinking about rooting or installing custom ROMs. LG made the decision to exit the smartphone business earlier this year, although it promised up to three years of OS updates for its recent flagship phones.

Now, frequent tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer and iGeeksBlog have posted what they’re calling an official press render of the OnePlus 8 Pro.
