Shortwave is a new email client that borrows some of the best features from Google Inbox. It’s the brainchild of a few former Google employees. It has both free and paid plans. Last year’s announcement of the mid-tier Qualcomm Snapdragon 765G processor was overshadowed by the arrival of the flagship-tier Snapdragon 865. However, few would have predicted the breadth of smartphones packing the 765G this year, nor the effect it’s had in almost single handily carving out a new market that bridges the gap between mid-range and flagship handsets.
While flagship smartphones maintained their usual luster and accompanying price tags, many of 2020’s most interesting smartphones appeared at the more affordable end of the spectrum.

The OnePlus Nord CE is one of the newest smartphones from the company. The CE stands for “Core Edition,” as it pares back the specs and features of the mainline OnePlus Nord while simultaneously lowering the price.
However, the phone might be too pared back for its own good. For example, it’s missing the iconic OnePlus hardware alert slider, and its cameras definitely can’t compete with the ones in the main Nord.
