What is Civiballs? Civiballs is a puzzle game from Herocraft. In each level, there is at least one green ball and red ball. Your goal is to use the elements in the level to move the balls to their designated spots. There are also bonus diamonds in each level that you can grab if you work your way through the level in the appropriate fashion. Behind it all is a lighthearted story that involves time travel.
If you want to check out your Quick Settings in Android, you first need to pull down the notification shade. Doing so will show you your notifications (obviously) as well as the six top-most Quick Settings on your list. To see the full list, you swipe down a second time. This might change, though, in Android 11.
According to some code tinkering conducted by XDA Developers, Google could be testing a shortcut to quickly access Quick Settings without needing that double swipe.
Update, October 28, 2020 (04:10 PM ET): According to Phil from Modern Dad, Google is now emailing Nest Secure owners with an update on the security system’s future. In the original article below, we discuss how Google previously confirmed Nest Secure had been discontinued.
In a screenshot of the email, Google appears to say that it is still “committed to bringing you the same feature and software support you’ve always had with Nest Secure, including cross-product integrations within the Nest ecosystem.
By far one of the coolest features Google’s new Allo messenger brings to the table is the ability to chat in incognito mode. Allo’s incognito mode allows you to take advantage of expiring chats and private notifications. And since all your messages are end-to-end encrypted, they’ll only be seen by you and the person you’re talking to. Also, Google can’t read any of your messages, so you can’t use Smart Reply or Google Assistant.
Google first introduced Digital Wellbeing back in 2018. The app has since seen a series of updates that have made it even better as the years have gone on. The latest Digital Wellbeing update tweaks a few things about the app, including swapping out “Wind Down” for a new “Bedtime Mode” (h/t: 9to5Google).
If your device features Digital Wellbeing, you may have seen the update land in the last day or so.
One of the most fundamental and simple skills to learn as a new coder is how to create a list in Python. But when you also have the option to create dictionaries – which are potentially more powerful – the question becomes why you should need this skill!
In this post, we’ll break down how to create a list in Python and when you should choose one over a dictionary.
Java is the official programming language of Android and it is the basis for many components of the OS itself, plus it is found at the core of Android’s SDK. Java has a couple of interesting properties that make it different to other programming languages like C.

Instead it compiles to an intermediate language known as Java bytecode, the instruction set of the Java Virtual Machine (JVM).
The Samsung Galaxy Ace 3 — is it a worthwhile device or is it just another handset in Samsung’s quest to make all the phones? While I wouldn’t get super excited over this device, it’s still pretty decent, despite it being like every other Samsung device.
I’ve got some serious deja-vu going on because I could swear we’ve reviewed this phone before, but it was probably just another very similar model.
TL;DR
It seems that Samsung has sent Verizon SIM cards instead of Sprint SIM cards with some Galaxy S9 units. How widespread this issue is or why this carrier mixup happened, we don’t know. Samsung is now working to fix the issue. The Samsung Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus are now on sale, and pre-ordered devices are now starting to make their way to early buyers. Unfortunately, some buyers have been receiving their Galaxy S9 units with Verizon SIM cards, even though they were ordered with Sprint SIM cards.

🎸 Good morning! Ok, if Microsoft revives Guitar Hero, I’m down with this Activision thing…

Xbox owners this morning are probably feeling pretty good about themselves, while the world of Sony and PlayStation looks a little more sparse. The news, in case you missed it:
Microsoft will spend $68.7b (about half its cash reserves!) buying Activision Blizzard, if regulators allow it.
