The Galaxy S5 will ship in four different color varieties, the traditional Shimmer White from previous Samsung Galaxy handsets, Electric Blue, Charcoal Black, and the newest addition Copper Gold. Each of the different color variants features the same perforated back, doing away with the plastic from previous generations.
The Shimmer White certainly keeps the GS5 looking more a like a traditional Galaxy handset, and arguably has the least noticeable perforations on the back, if you’re worried about that sort of thing.

Sharp has announced its new flagship smartphone, the Aquos R6. The device packs a 1-inch camera sensor with Leica-designed optics. It also features a 240Hz IGZO OLED display. It seemed improbable a few years ago that a smartphone would pack camera sensors equivalent in size to dedicated shooters. Now, it seems that Sharp, partnering with Leica, has achieved this with its Aquos R6 flagship.
Sharp’s latest device features a rear camera array headlined by a 20MP 1-inch primary camera sensor.

We have Android app lists for many, many topics. After all, people use their Android devices for a ton of different things. Many of these apps are pretty mainstream, while others are very niche. These niche apps work exceptionally well, but only for the few people who actually need them.
Anybody can write a list of weird apps that do nothing. This list pays an ode to the wonderful niche apps that actually work really well should you find yourself in a position to actually use one.

Google was the first smartphone manufacturer to offer an astrophotography mode, doing so with 2019’s Pixel 4 series. The mode allows you to take photos of the night sky, including stars, light trails from planes and satellites, and even the Milky Way.
Astrophotography modes are now available on phones from the likes of Realme, Vivo, and Xiaomi, and I detailed my love for the mode in an opinion piece earlier this month.
ZTE Blade Z MaxThe best thing about the Blade Z Max, besides its price, is its outstanding battery life. Among its impressive feature set, it delivers a good display and an excellent finger scanner. But despite having a dual camera, only the main shooter is remarkable - the poorly implemented dual-lens modes aren't worth your time. Definitely consider if you're on a budget.
What we likeFingerprint scanner performance is great. Extremely accurate and responsive
Arm has not one but two new high-performance CPUs destined for 2021 mobile SoCs. First is the anticipated Cortex-A78, building on the standard Cortex-A roadmap. The surprise announcement is the Cortex-X1, a powerhouse CPU designed with partners in Arm’s new CXC program, which replaces “Built on Arm Cortex.”
Arm’s Cortex-A78 and Cortex-X1 are both based on the previous generation Cortex-A77. However, the two ARM processors are designed with different design goals in mind.

When you think about stylus-equipped phones, Samsung’s Galaxy Note series and the S Pen are likely the first things that come to mind. And there’s no doubt that the Note is reasonably popular. The Note 2o Ultra was one of the top five strongest-selling phones in the US and South Korea as of October 2020, according to Counterpoint Research.
But there’s a problem: try thinking of a modern, pen-friendly phone that isn’t made by Samsung.
Qualcomm has a wide range of Snapdragon processors, divided into a set of series. The 8 series, for flagship processors; the 7 series, for premium mainstream; the 6 series for the mid-range; and so on. Each Snapdragon processor uses a different CPU and GPU combination. The CPUs use the Kryo branding and they have their own numbering scheme. Like many numbering schemes, it can be a bit confusing.
What is the difference between the Kryo 475 in the Snapdragon 765 and the Kryo 385 in the Snapdragon 845?
Motorola Droid Turbo 2The Droid Turbo 2 answers the 3 most common problems with smartphones. With it’s Shatterproof screen, fantastic battery life and near vanilla Android software, the Droid Turbo 2 is the phone we’ve been waiting for. Although not the most attractive device and quite expensive, Verizon users will love the Droid Turbo 2. Table of contents
Recently the major points of focus for Verizon’s Droid series of smartphones have been on battery life and durability, especially when it came to last year’s Droid Turbo, which featured ballistic nylon or re-enforced Kevlar backings to make for quite a durable device.
