The streaming space is getting more crowded, and it’s hard to pick a single service that covers all the bases. Netflix isn’t alone out there anymore. Of course, some of the most exciting players in the game don’t even try. Instead, they carve out a specific niche and cater to it hard. Mubi is one of the best streaming services among these more targeted options. So, what is Mubi? Why should you subscribe to it?

It’s hard to believe, but 2014 is already a little over half of the way through, and what a year it has been. So far we’ve seen some pretty impressive flagship handsets from Samsung, HTC and LG, as well as some other interesting mobile announcements including Android Wear, Android Auto and Android L.
Google Now on Tap is a new feature in Android 6.0 Marshmallow. The premise of the feature is pretty simple, Google Now will analyze the content on your screen and then turn around and deliver results based on that information. As an example, if someone asks you about a restaurant, Google Now on Tap would pull up a card about that restaurant including directions, the website, the menu (where applicable), and more information.
Don’t you hate having to fiddle with your phone’s profile settings? If you’re lazing around the house, having your ringing volume cranked up all the way to maximum is okay, but it’d be quite embarrassing to disturb a meeting when someone calls you.
Alternatively, if you have your phone set to Silent mode because you are at a party, you might not be able to tell if someone’s messaging you. Your smartphone, unfortunately, isn’t quite smart enough to switch between profiles by itself, but one developer known as Root Uninstaller has decided to change that by developing an automatic profile switcher for Android.

There are six new Material You-inspired Google Photos widgets to add to your home screen. Android 12 is not required, but Google Photos version 5.65 is. The blob widget is the best. Android 12 has been available on recent Google Pixel phones for a few weeks. Android P enables up to five simultaneous Bluetooth audio device connections. The feature is only accessible via the developer options. Doesn’t offer multi-device playback, only multiple connections at once. For those that have installed the Developer Preview, if you head to the usually hidden developer options menu you’ll now find an option to increase the allowed number of connected Bluetooth audio devices.

You don’t necessarily have to take the brand-new route when buying a smartphone, as refurbished phones can be a cost-effective option as well. These second-hand phones are usually much cheaper than going new and it theoretically helps to reduce electronic waste.
What do Android Authority readers think of buying refurbished phones though? We asked readers whether they’d take this route and here’s how they answered the poll.

How do the Zenfone 7 and Zenfone 7 Pro differ? Is the flipping camera mechanism still present?

Qualcomm has addressed why Chrome isn’t available on Windows on Arm devices. The executive notes that it’s a “policy problem” rather than a technical hurdle. One of the best ways for legacy Windows apps to run faster on Windows on Arm is for developers to offer an Arm version, allowing the app to run natively on the platform. In the browser space, we’ve seen an Arm port of Firefox as well as a native version of Microsoft Edge.
