Netflix took the world by surprise when it announced its first-ever drop in subscriber counts earlier this month. Dropping 200,000 subscribers after a decade of growth is no joke. The poster child of streaming services has been on a spree of content creation, acquisition, and subscriber growth for years. However, even if you leave aside the COVID-induced growth in memberships, and its subsequent slowdown, a drop in viewership was a long time coming.
After some time spent in community testing, Jide is releasing its Remix OS 2.0 software for the Nexus 9 and Nexus 10 tablets today, along with a separate stable release of the OS for the company’s Ultratablet. This marks the first major release of the software for Android tablets, as the offshoot OS was originally launched for PCs and laptops. Simply put, Remix OS is an Android fork with much enhanced multi-tasking features that transforms the user experience into your more typical desktop environment.
Update: June 19, 2020: Just over a month after the Scoob digital movie release, the CGI family film will make its debut on HBO Max June 26.
You can still rent or purchase the movie from digital stores. Keep in mind that is the only way to watch Scoob in 4K as HBO Max currently does not support 4K streaming.
Scoob’s studio Warner Bros. will make the movie available as both a rental and a digital purchase.

TL;DR
It looks like specs for Mediatek’s upcoming flagship SoC have leaked. The so-called Dimensity 2000 will apparently use a Cortex-X core for the first time. It’s also slated to pack Arm’s latest GPU. Mediatek’s Dimensity chipsets have traditionally done well in the mid-range and budget segments, although it hasn’t edged out Qualcomm as the supplier of choice in the flagship space. The company has previously stated its intention to step up in the high-end space, and a new leak suggests next year’s flagship silicon could be one to watch.
Gionee has announced the availability of A1 Lite in India. The latest smartphone in the company’s A1 series packs in a 20 MP selfie camera and a 4,000 mAh battery.

Huawei looks to squeeze one last smartphone announcement before the end of 2018 with the Huawei P Smart (2019). Today’s announcement arrives mere days after Huawei sub-brand Honor announced the Honor View 20 in China.
As rumors suggested, the P Smart (2019) features the waterdrop-style notch that we’ve seen on the Huawei Mate 20, OnePlus 6T, and Oppo A7. The small notch allows the 6.21-inch display with Full HD+ (2,340 x 1,080) resolution to nearly stretch across the top without looking completely obnoxious.
