Best Headphones of 2014

It wasn’t long ago that if somebody was listening to music on their mobile device, they’d be doing so through a tiny pair of earbuds jammed into their ears. While earbuds do keep getting better, plenty of people would argue that nothing beats a good pair of full-size headphones, and it seems like a lot of people agree. Picking a pair of headphones can be tough, considering there are so many variables included.

It's pricier than Pixel 3a, but what do you get?

HTC announced a June 11 event last week, and the company has indeed revealed a new smartphone today. The HTC U19e isn’t a follow-up to the HTC U12 Plus though, as it targets the upper mid-range price bracket. The new HTC handset sports a Snapdragon 710 chipset, 6GB of RAM, 128GB of expandable storage, and a 6-inch full HD+ notch-free screen (OLED with HDR10 support). A 3,930mAh battery with Quick Charge 4.

The Huawei Y9a is basically a Mate 30 Lite with a pop-up camera

TL;DR Huawei’s latest phone features a pop-up selfie camera and a 6.63-inch LCD display with 92% screen-to-body ratio. Unfortunately, it doesn’t look like Huawei plans to sell the phone in many places outside the Middle East and Central and Pacific Asia. Back when images of the Mate 30 series first started making their way online, it seemed like Huawei planned to release a Lite variant of the phone. Huawei never ended up announcing that device, but the company just revealed what is effectively a Mate 30 Lite by another name.

Samsung reportedly aims to ship 26 million Galaxy S21 series phones

David Imel / Android Authority TL;DR Samsung is reportedly aiming to ship 26 million Galaxy S21 series devices in 2021. This apparently matches the number of Galaxy S20 series units sold last year. The Samsung Galaxy S21 series offers three great flagship phones, with the barrier of entry reduced to $800 while the top-end S21 Ultra in particular gets several major upgrades. You’d think that the reduced price tag across the board would result in more sales, but The Elec reports that Samsung has set a rather conservative estimate for shipments in 2021.

When it rains, it pours, and such is the collection of confectionery confetti that is flowing down from the Mountain View candy land. Released in October, Android 5.0 landed with the Nexus 9, yet just a few weeks later 5.0.1 was already on its way, a small update to address bugs, but which also included fast and slow-motion video recording. LRX22G has just been released by Google, which brings the hard candy’s teeth-talking tally to 5.
