Thanks to SamMobile, we’ve already managed to get a peak at early previews of Android 5.0 Lollipop running on the Galaxy S4 and S5 in their full TouchWiz-loaded glory. Now its the Galaxy Note 3’s turn.
As you’d imagine, the build here looks pretty similar to what we’ve seen with the Galaxy S4 and S5. That means a nice dose of Material Design colors and tweaks, as well as some general enhancements to TouchWiz.
What is Best of Android? In Best of Android, we take the hottest devices of the moment and compare them in-depth. For this first edition, we picked up the following Android flagships:

Samsung isn’t offering a new Galaxy Note phone this year, but it has brought S Pen support to the Galaxy S21 Ultra and the Galaxy Z Fold 3. Unfortunately, both of these phones lack an S Pen slot though. That means you need to buy a case in order to securely stow away the stylus.

If you’ve been paying a close watch on the reports on Google’s cloud storage service, the fabled Google Drive, you are probably aware of the rumors that indicate today as a possible launch date of the cloud service. Customers, who will soon get to choose from the free version or the premium version of G-Drive, will surely welcome yet another cloud storage solution. But what do people in the industry think about Google Drive?

Google TV users can finally create different profiles on the same device. Apps and logins won’t change based on profiles. The feature is rolling out to all users and should reach everyone over the next few weeks. When Google TV first debuted with the new Chromecast, it made a glaring omission — profiles. There was no way to switch Google accounts on the platform so that different members in a household could enjoy a personalized experience, one of the most prominent features of the new UI.
The rumored Samsung Galaxy S8 voice assistant already had a name: Bixby. But now it has a feminine alter ego by the name of Kestra (another Star Trek reference – Kestra was Deanna Troi’s older sister). New trademark documents reveal identical applications other than the name, revealing that Samsung is an equal opportunity AI employer.
Trademark filings don’t always pan out to anything in the real world, with many OEM’s “camping” on terms they may or may not ever take to market.

Over the last couple of months, we’ve seen a good number of white-label Android tablets entering the market, which have, gasp, more than a decent set of specs, yet are still priced competitively compared to brand name devices.
