A solid 5.5 inch mid-range device, with a 64-bit processor and an excellent GPU. The 3GB of RAM makes multitasking a breeze and the fingerprint reader is an added bonus. 64-bit processors are certainly a mainstream option now on Android devices, and the P7000 is no exception with its octa-core 64-bit processor from MediaTek. But there is more to the P7000 than just a multi-core 64-bit CPU. Supporting the CPU is a hefty 3GB of RAM and a 16 core Mali-T760MP GPU.
Some Google Pixel 3 smartphones appear to have a microphone problem causing an unpleasant listening experience when calling. A reader tip directed us to the Google Product forums which suggests the issue has been occurring for several months.
Reports go back to November last year, but the issue seems to have picked up more traction since this post from mid-February. The problem seems to relate to the phone’s microphone: when calling with a Pixel 3, the audio quality on the caller’s end is fine, but on the receiver’s side it can come with any number of issues including a ‘tinny’ sound, choppy audio, and echoes.
LG’s Stylo series is right up there as one of the best options if you’re looking for a stylus-toting phone on a budget, and the Stylo 6 has just launched on Boost Mobile.
Aside from the included stylus, you’re also getting a low-end Helio P35 chipset, a 6.8-inch FHD+ LCD screen, 3GB of RAM, 64GB of expandable storage, and a 4,000mAh battery.
Other notable features include a triple rear camera (13MP main, 5MP wide, and 5MP depth), 13MP selfie shooter, USB-C, a 3.
The modified version of the Google Camera app caused a few ripples in the Android community because it allowed those who don’t own Pixel or Nexus devices to try out Google‘s excellent HDR+ chops, among other features. Thankfully for fans, independent developer B-S-G did not stop his work on the modified app and released a new version that adds RAW support, squashes some major bugs, and throws in a few features along the way.
Of course, there is more to the Galaxy A9 (2018) than just its four rear cameras. The phone also features the Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 processor, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB of expandable storage. It also comes with a beefy 3,800mAh battery, keeps the headphone jack, and features a nice color gradient around back.
Thankfully, the Galaxy A9 (2018) costs significantly less than what most flagship smartphones charge in 2018. That does not make the phone a super affordable offering, however.

If your smartphone runs out of battery and shuts down then it will reboot when you connect it to its charger. You can also find yourself in the same situation if your device reboots due to an internal error which caused the software to become unstable. However when a device is encrypted these reboots can have an unfortunate side effect, the device’s storage remains encrypted until the user enters their credentials. This means that apps that schedule alarms, or apps that provide important and timely notifications, can’t run.

Google’s head of Android and Chrome, Sundar Pichai, just revealed that the developer conference Google I/O will take place this year on June 25-26.
Taking to Google Plus, Pichai explained that this year the company wants to avoid the mad dash for tickets from the past by implementing a new registration system. People interested in attending will “submit their interest”, and Google will randomly select the “winners” that’ll get to attend to Google’s biggest event of the year.
