Search results give you a wealth of information, like tuition costs, graduation rates, admission rates, and more. The Google college search features are rolling out to mobile now, with desktop receiving some features as well. Figuring out which college you should go to is a daunting task, but Google is rolling out some new search features today that will make your life much easier.

Legend of the Sea Robbers is now available

Asmodee Digital is known for the for taking board games we love and transforming them into digital games we get addicted to. Now, they’re back with another.  Catan Stories: Legend of the Sea Robbers is now available on the Google Play Store. If you’re familiar with Asmodee Digital’s other games, you’d expect this to be a direct board game adaptation, but it’s actually a text-based choose your own adventure game. You play as the island’s guardian and control the fates of the three inhabitants and steer them toward a shared destiny.

Telegram's new location sharing feature isn't as private as you might like

TL;DR Telegram’s “People Nearby” feature could potentially reveal your location. You’d just need GPS tools and triangulation to determine where someone lives. Telegram has said the functionality doesn’t need to be fixed. Telegram is ostensibly focused on privacy, but its approach to location sharing is raising some concerns. Security-conscious user Ahmed has warned that the messaging app’s “People Nearby” feature exposes locations online in a way determined observers could find.

Popular PC app 7-Zip has a major flaw on Windows (Updated: Disputed)

The flaw is now disputed, with one analyst even claiming it was a hoax. Update: May 3, 2022 (3:40 AM ET): Questions have been raised over an apparent 7-Zip vulnerability disclosed last month. The vulnerability is now marked as disputed on the CVE Program website, which tracks and catalogs disclosed vulnerabilities.

This has fortunately changed in the last few years, as companies intensify their focus on updates. This got us wondering about which Android version our readers are running on their phones.

Android 11 beta 3: Here's what's new

TL;DR Google just launched Android 11 beta 3 for its line of Pixel phones. This will very likely be the last beta update, with the next iteration of A11 expected to be a stable launch. The most notable new feature of this version is the whitelisting of Google and Apple’s Exposure Notifications System. Future Xiaomi flagship phone could arrive with UWB support

Eric Zeman / Android Authority TL;DR New details of a rumored Xiaomi flagship phone, code-named Odin, have broken cover. The device will seemingly arrive with UWB, 5G connectivity, and more. It’s unclear what the device will be called, but some believe it could be the Mi Mix 4. Xiaomi‘s next flagship smartphone could introduce a wireless technology growing in popularity among flagship devices — ultra-wideband (UWB). According to XDA-Developers‘ sources, an upcoming smartphone — bearing model number 2106118C and code-named Odin — will seemingly pack support for UWB.

Great for movies, not so much for gaming

Xiaomi Mi QLED TV 75The Mi QLED TV 75 is a remarkable feat for Xiaomi. Once again the brand is democratizing the television market by drastically reducing the barrier to entry to QLED panels in the large screen TV segment. The Mi QLED TV 75 delivers the goods if all you want is a really good screen to watch movies on. However, if gaming is a priority, the Mi QLED 75 wouldn't be my first recommendation owing to a range of issues with both connectivity, and the lack of future-proofing.
