Wireless Charging has had a hit-or-miss relationship with the mobile industry, dipping in and out of product ranges and flitting between spec sheet features and accessory status. These days, a number of high profile smartphone ranges support wireless charging, including Google latest Pixels, Samsung’s Galaxy S and Note products, and the Huawei Mate 20 Pro.
After years of battles over standards, there is now only one major player left in the smartphone game – the Wireless Power Consortium.
TL;DR
Microsoft has confirmed the specs of the Xbox Series S console. It will feature support for 1440p gaming with up to a 120Hz refresh rate. The disc-less console will also feature a custom NVMe SSD. Update: September 9, 2020 (3 AM ET): Microsoft has now confirmed all the spec details from the leaked promo video mentioned in the original article below. In fact, the company has officially released the same promo video for the Xbox Series S, also confirming its November 10 launch date.

At this point, you know the story: in May 2019, then-US president Donald Trump brought the hammer down on Huawei. By issuing an executive order placing the company on a so-called “Entity List,” he essentially cut the company’s smartphone division off at the legs. Since then, the division has limped along as best it can.
This outcome isn’t too surprising. Without access to American firms — most notably Google, on which the Android ecosystem heavily depends — it was only a matter of time before Huawei’s global phone ambitions crumbled.
Despite the fact that we consider main line Pixel devices to be flagship phones, they usually don’t compare if you hold them up against contemporary flagships from other manufacturers in terms of specs. The Google Pixel 3 from 2018, for example, had a single rear camera while other devices launched that year had two or even three.
Pixel devices usually have less battery capacity than other flagships, too, and less RAM.
Following behind AT&T andSprint, T-mobile has now started rolling out an update to Android 5.0.1 Lollipop for owners of theSamsung Galaxy Note 4! We were already aware this update was coming sometime this week, but thanks to numerous tipsters this morning, we can confirm the update is now live for some users.
The latest update packs the firmware number N910TUVU1COD6 and appears to be a 1085.68MB download. In other words, you’ll probably want to be on Wi-Fi, unless you have unlimited data.
Update: February 4 (9:04 am ET) – OnePlus is now selling the special McLaren Edition of the OnePlus 6T on its web site. This version of the phone has 10GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage, along with a special 30W “warp charge 30” charger that will give the phone a day’s worth of battery use in just 20 minutes. It’s priced at just $699.
Original story: November 6: – The OnePlus 6T started out as one of the year’s most anticipated releases.
Unihertz Atom
The Unihertz Atom is a phone you don't really want to keep using, but that is the whole point of it. You do what you have to do and get on with your life. It is nonaddictive by nature.
The Unihertz Atom is a tiny phone with a 2.45-inch display. It comes with decent specs, but the phone’s design is what’s really going to spark conversations. About 80 percent of the people I showed this phone to told me they totally wanted one.
The OnePlus 6 is proof you don’t have to pay a fortune for a premium smartphone experience. If you’re an Android user on a budget, few phones compare.
The comparison gets a bit trickier when you look outside of the Android world. Does the sub-$550 OnePlus 6 have what it takes to go up against the $999 iPhone X? Let’s find out! This is our OnePlus 6 vs Apple iPhone X.
Instead of Galaxy Buds, Samsung now offers a $130 eCertificate that can be used towards “select products” on Samsung’s website and the Shop Samsung app. Samsung didn’t say what those products are, but we assume you can spend the $130 on accessories for your Galaxy S10 or Galaxy S10 Plus. You could probably also pick up the Galaxy Buds when they go on sale March 8.
It’s not exactly unprecedented — the fine print of the promotion stated that the free Galaxy Buds were available “while supplies last.
The Nexus line is retired, long live the Pixel! Still, if you can find a Nexus 6P on discount, or already have one, it’s a hell of a device and one very much worth using on the daily even in 2017.
With its beautiful design and solid build quality, high-end specs, top of the line camera, and of course, a smooth and snappy pure Android experience, the Nexus 6P is certainly one of the best Android smartphones released in 2015 and still very much relevant even after all this time.
