About five years ago, developer Mojang released the first version of Minecraft Pocket Edition for Android. At the time, the mobile version of the popular PC sandbox game was an exclusive for Sony’s Xperia Play smartphone (remember that?). Now the developer is celebrating the 5th anniversary of that launch with more info, and a new trailer, for the game’s upcoming 1.0 update.

Update, August 4, 2020 (04:30 PM ET): The Motorola One Fusion Plus is now available to purchase in a few selected areas. This includes Europe and India. Starting tomorrow, August 5, shoppers in the United States will be able to buy the phone as an unlocked device.

The CoordinatorLayout is a new layout, introduced with the Android Design Support Library. The CoordinatorLayout is a super-powered FrameLayout (according to the official documentation). Originally available on the Nexus 5 running Android 4.4. KitKat, Google brought the Google Now Launcher to the Play Store way back in February 2014. This was great news for folks who wanted a Google-y software experience on their non-Nexus Android phones.
Now, three years later, the company has decided to part ways with the Now Launcher. Though upsetting for some people, the news isn’t incredibly surprising; Google’s new Pixel and Pixel XL came with an all-new launcher (the aptly-named Pixel Launcher), and it’s even available in the Play Store.
