The Surface Duo isn't Microsoft's first dual-screen foldable

David Imel / Android Authority The Surface Duo is quite possibly the most radical device that Microsoft has released in years, offering a folding design with two separate screens. Sure, it’s not as crazy as typical foldables with flexible screens, but Microsoft thinks this could be a paradigm shift in how we interact with our apps. As weird as a dual-screen foldable sounds, this isn’t actually the first time the Redmond company worked on the concept.

An inside look at Facebook's mobile app development process

Recently, I visited the Facebook Headquarters in London to learn about the process of developing and maintaining its mobile Facebook app. Much more goes on here than you probably realize: some of Facebook’s apps are handled here in their entirety, like WhatsApp for desktop and the business-oriented Workplace app. The offices are just what you’d expect from Facebook’s image, though perhaps not quite to The Social Network-levels of excess. This is a place where serious work gets done, but there’s a trendy, quirky, and relaxed atmosphere nonetheless.

Google Pixel flagships lack 4K/60fps capabilities, but that could change soon

Google’s recent Pixel flagship phones sport chipsets capable of 4K recording at 60fps, but we haven’t seen the search giant actually implement this video option. Fortunately, it looks like the company is working on a solution. XDA-Developers obtained the Google Camera 7.4 APK from a Pixel 4a, and conducted a teardown of the app package. The teardown reveals references to 4K video recording at 60fps. Now, this doesn’t mean that the Google Pixel 4a will offer 4K/60fps, as the Snapdragon 730 processor rumored to appear in the new budget Pixel tops out at 4K/30fps.
