A European court has favored Huawei in a Huawei vs Chanel battle over logo trademarks. Chanel posited that its iconic logo, above left, was co-opted by Huawei for its own logo, above right. The court said, “The figurative marks at issue are not similar,” leaving Chanel with the option to appeal. When it comes to brand identity, nothing is more important than your logo. Famous logos can not only signify your brand’s status, but they can become cultural touchstones.

An alleged survey might have leaked the OnePlus Z specs. The phone could feature a 90Hz display, a Snapdragon 765 SoC, and a low price point. However, these specs have been called into question by other leakers. An alleged survey might have just outed all the major OnePlus Z specs. First spotted by folks over at XDA Developers (via DesiDime.com), the survey was apparently distributed on the Payback platform — a multi-brand loyalty program in India.

Last year’s LG G6 was a solid smartphone, but it received a fair amount of criticism for launching with the previous year’s flagship processor. That’s not to say it was a bad phone by any stretch of the imagination, though it didn’t exactly stand out when compared to, say, the Galaxy S8. The company isn’t taking that same approach to this year’s flagship phone, however — the LG G7 ThinQ specs are as top-of-the-line as you can get in early 2018.
Russia isn’t the most popular place in the world right now. However, plenty of people want to learn the language anyway. Over 140 million people speak the language, so it’s probably worth learning for travelers or people planning long trips to Russia. Additionally, it’s the largest native language in Europe. Its popularity made it a good target for language learning apps. Thus, there are plenty of Russian learning apps available. Those looking to learn with the best ones came to the right place.

Peacock has certainly been covering its bases, releasing prestige shows in different genres in its attempts to compete with the big services like Netflix, Amazon, and HBO Max.
Update, July 28 2020 (2:20AM ET): Qualcomm announced the ability to download GPU driver updates via app stores late last year, largely being restricted to flagship and upper-tier phones. Xiaomi was one of the first to implement this functionality, in the form of a dedicated GPU driver update app for the Mi 10 series.
Now, Oppo has done the same for the Find X2 series (h/t: XDA-Developers), with users downloading a dedicated updater utility from an app store.

The news arrived yesterday via Korean site ETNews and also suggests that the G6 will lose one of the long-standing features of the G-series: a removable battery.
ETNews recently speculated that the LG G6 would lack the modular aspect of its predecessor, however it didn’t reference waterproof capabilities in the original story.

Huawei has launched the Mate X2 in China. The new foldable adopts an in-folding design like the Galaxy Z Fold line. It’s way more expensive than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 2 though. Huawei‘s first foldables, the Mate X and Mate XS, both adopted an out-folding design, with the main screen folding back. This meant that you didn’t need a separate smartphone display, as half of the main screen could be used as a mobile display.

I think it’s pretty well known in the Android world that the official Facebook app is less than perfect. Okay, I personally think it’s downright bad, but it works for some people.
