Google is rolling out new Google Fit features to Android, iOS, and Wear OS devices. The new Google Fit homescreen will offer a more comprehensive look at your health data. New sleep tracking details, social share features, and revamped Wear OS tiles are also included. If you use a Wear OS smartwatch, Google Fit is likely one of your go-to fitness apps. It’s quite bare, though, and is often criticized for not offering as many features as other fitness apps on Android.
Sony Sony Xperia XZ3While Sony's sensors are praised by the whole industry, it takes more to make an overall good smartphone camera. The Sony Xperia XZ3 can take some nice shots, but nothing stands out over the competition. Sony’s imaging sensors are in a plethora of smartphones, but are its own phones capable of taking a decent shot? I have been playing with the Sony Xperia XZ3 camera, so let’s have a look.
Is your phone blowing up with notifications all the time? About half the time they are not even helpful, so Samsung is allowing Galaxy S8 users to customize all notifications to their specific needs.
It’s very simple to just turn notifications off for all apps, but then Sammy takes it a step further by allowing users to pin-point which apps should send notifications. One can even go into specific apps and really get intricate with notification behavior.

Pixel feature drops are now supported within the beta channel for Pixel smartphones. The June 2022 drop is already here for Pixel 4 and newer devices. Interestingly, this means Pixel 6 owners can get the June drop before even having the March drop. Earlier this week, Google pushed its tenth quarterly feature drop for Pixel smartphones. As usual, the drop included new features and bug fixes.

A recent PlayStation 5 Walmart sale in Canada involved an online waiting room, suggesting the retailer could do the same in the US. Getting a PS5 from Walmart has been a nightmare partially due to Walmart’s laissez-faire attitude towards sales. Waiting rooms are one of the best ways to fight bot sales, so your chances of getting a PS5 from Walmart might have just gone up.
Samsung is no stranger to launching different shades of its flagship phones in the weeks and months after the initial release. Now, it has done the same with the Samsung Galaxy S10 series with the previously leaked Cardinal Red variant.
The Cardinal Red color scheme is officially available on Samsung’s Swiss website, as spotted by the unofficial Samsung_News_ Twitter account. And it’s indeed a rather striking option, as seen in the featured image above.

A new exposé report shows how an Israeli security company uses mobile ads to compromise smartphone security. By using data gleaned from app developers, the company can locate smartphone users with accuracy as high as just one meter off. There’s nothing technically illegal about the practice, it seems, but it does raise some eyebrows. A new report from Forbes reveals that an Israeli company called “Bsightful” uses mobile ads in a devilishly clever way.
