Lenovo bumps Duet Chromebook 3 to 2K screen, lower price than Duet 5

Lenovo also announced two IdeaPad Flex Chromebooks and a new Android tablet. Lenovo announced a whole range of products at Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, including three new Chromebooks, a refreshed Android tablet, and a slew of Windows machines.

OnePlus 7 Pro: One year later and I still love it

One year ago today, OnePlus unveiled its newest flagship: the OnePlus 7 Pro. It was the first phone from the company with a “Pro” moniker and represented the absolute best-of-the-best specs and design for 2019 smartphones at that point. OnePlus 8 series and OnePlus 8T finally get Oxygen OS 12 stable update

The update is currently headed to open beta users and will soon reach stable channel customers. Users in Europe will have to wait a bit longer to get the Android 12-based software. For now, the stable Oxygen OS 12 build for the OnePlus 8 series, 8T, and 9R is rolling out to users who were previously running the open beta version of the software.

Infinix isn’t exactly the most recognizable name in the smartphone space, but the Transsion-owned brand has seen success on the African continent, the Middle East, and parts of Asia. The firm is generally known for offering mid-range and entry-level smartphones, but it’s aiming pretty high with the newly announced Infinix Concept Phone 2021.

Facebook Messenger for Android to receive less-extensive rewrite

Facebook completely overhauled Facebook Messenger for the iOS platform this week. While the company does plan to retouch Messenger for Android, the world’s most popular mobile operating system won’t receive the same extensively rewritten app that iOS did. “Our goal is to build for the unique strengths of each platform,” said a Facebook spokesperson to Android Authority via email. Facebook basically rewrote the entire Messenger codebase for Apple’s iOS platform. The goal, said Facebook, was to create a smaller, faster, simpler application that loads twice as quickly and takes up less space on the phone.
