Facebook made quite some buzz when it quietly launched free calling through the Facebook Messenger app for iOS and Android. While initially available in the US and Canada, Facebook recently rolled out voice calling in the UK, too, with promise to launch in more countries. If you’re living elsewhere, you would be pleased to learn that Facebook Messenger calling is being rolled out to other countries, as well. This came as a pleasant surprise while I was chatting with a friend last night.

Consider this for a second – the current most popular Android device and the only device that has a chance of taking the title away from it are both Galaxy S phones. An impressive achievement for Samsung, whose Galaxy S3 already sold in 50 million units, a performance that will probably be outdone by the new Galaxy S4. Widely regarded as the best Android smartphone of 2012, the Galaxy S3 is still a very good option for many customers.

TL;DR According to inside sources, the Google Pixel 3 launch date will be October 9 at an event in NYC. Previous Pixel launches happened on October 4 in both 2016 and 2017, so this is a bit of a change. The location is also different, as the Pixel and Pixel 2 both launched in San Francisco. According to anonymous sources speaking with Bloomberg, Google intends to launch the Google Pixel 3 and other Google-branded hardware on October 9, 2018, at an event in New York City.
