TL;DR The TCL 30V is a brand new smartphone exclusive to the Verizon network in the United States. Meanwhile, the 30XE is exclusive to T-Mobile and Metro by T-Mobile. Both phones launch soon but pricing is a mystery. Update: February 27, 2022 (11 AM ET): TCL has announced the prices for the Verizon-exclusive 30V 5G and T-Mobile-exclusive 30XE 5G. The phones will cost $299 and $199, respectively. Both phones are now available for purchase from their respective carriers.

The Dravidian family of languages is a fascinating one. It’s most prevalent in southern, central, and eastern India, along with Sri Lanka and a few other countries. They include languages like Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam. We’ll be honest, these are not easy languages to learn on mobile devices. There aren’t many apps with these languages and those that do have them usually give you phrases and words to learn. We highly recommend finding a real speaker to tutor you and only use the apps as supplemental study aids.

Now, frequent tipster Steve Hemmerstoffer and iGeeksBlog have posted what they’re calling an official press render of the OnePlus 8 Pro. And it shows a phone with a green colorway, four rear cameras (including three in a vertically arranged strip), and a punch-hole display with the cutout on the left side. We also spot the volume rocker on the left hand side, power and alert switch on the right, and the USB-C port and what appears to be a speaker grille at the bottom.

Online banking is one of those conveniences of the modern age that seem pretty obvious. Arm is arguably the most important company in the smartphone industry, with its architectures, CPUs, and/or GPUs used by virtually all smartphones worldwide. Hadlee Simons / Android Authority Arm announced three new CPUs, and the common thread among all of them is that they run Arm’s new v9 architecture. To give you an idea of why this is a big deal, the last time the company made such a big leap between versions was in 2011 with the switch to Arm v8.

Previously, Samsung-branded shops existed only as temporary pop-ups or as “mini-shops” in larger stores, such as Best Buy. The Samsung Experience Store is, remarkably, the first permanent place owned by Samsung that you can walk into and buy a brand new phone, laptop, TV, or other product from the company. Google’s famed true wireless earbuds — the Pixel Buds 2 — might launch as soon as this month. The hearables were first announced back in October and were recently listed on the website of US-based retailer Abt Electronics. Now, a trusted reader tells 9to5Google that the retailer is sending out emails to all those who preordered the next-gen TWS earbuds. The email apparently quotes information from Google itself. It claims that the Pixel Buds 2 will arrive at the retailer’s warehouse sometime in late April or early May.

Ever since the LG V20, LG’s V-series smartphones have suffered from an unfortunate identity crisis. What started out as a rugged, beefy, spec’d-out smartphone line slowly developed into an amalgamation of LG’s G-series smartphones with more video-centric features. Look at LG’s 2018 smartphone line as an example. Aside from a few extra features, the V40 ThinQ didn’t have a discernible focus — it was just slightly “different” to the LG G7 ThinQ.
