Google has given its take on how the Pixel 6 series charging works. It says the phones can reach 80% in an hour before power is reduced due to battery health concerns. Google also said that the Pixel 6 and Pro variant offer wired speeds of 21W and 23W respectively. Our own testing of the Google Pixel 6 series revealed that the phone doesn’t actually charge at anywhere close to 30W, despite the company tacitly suggesting that this was the case.

Royole is holding a September 21 event where it’s expected to unveil the FlexPai 2. The new foldable phone should have an improved screen, faster performance and more cameras. It’s not certain how widely available the FlexPai 2 will be. The company isn’t providing many clues as to what you can expect, although the imagery from the invitation leaves little doubt that a foldable device is coming.

The USB-C port is one of the most consistently present features on modern smartphones. It serves a basic role: to provide data and power signals to and from your phone. It’s simple, easy-to-use, and increasingly ubiquitous (unless you like iPhones).
The majority of Google Pixel phones sport USB 3.1 ports. The few exceptions are the first Pixel, which utilized 3.0, and the budget Pixel 3a with 2.0. What this means is that most of Google’s flagships should transfer files over a cable pretty briskly, or at least as fast as its competition.
