TL;DR
Onward Mobility has announced that it’s shutting down. The company’s keyboard-toting phone has also been canceled as a result. It first came to prominence in 2020 after announcing plans to launch BlackBerry-branded phones. New BlackBerry-branded phones were announced by upstart company Onward Mobility in 2020. Unfortunately, the company missed its 2021 launch window but still promised to deliver a keypad-toting phone in 2022. It might not come as a surprise to learn that the manufacturer has now officially confirmed its demise.
The Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL boast the company’s best-ever software features and camera capabilities, which are possible due, in part, to the inclusion of the Pixel Neural Core. This little chip sits alongside the Pixel 4’s main processor to efficiently run Google’s powerful machine learning workloads. These range from image processing to voice recognition and transcription capabilities.
The Neural Core is not Google’s first crack at an in-house machine learning processor for smartphones though.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow is here, and now the waiting game is on. “When will my phone get the Marshmallow update?” ask countless Android fans, and for good reason: while phone makers are doing a better job at keeping their devices up to date, the process is still lengthy and opaque. Worse, many models will inevitably be left behind. We’re here to shed some light on the issue.
The release of Android updates for most devices is a complex process, involving Google, chip makers, device makers, and carriers.
Arm has announced three new Armv9-based CPUs: the Arm Cortex-X2, the Cortex-A710, and the Cortex-A510.
Arm’s CPU designs are used in the vast majority of Android smartphones today, with everyone from Google and OnePlus to Samsung and Huawei using the company’s CPUs in some form. These companies license Arm’s CPU cores and use them together with a GPU, NPU, ISP, DSP, etc., to make a system-on-a-chip (SoC). For example, the Snapdragon 888 uses a Cortex-X1, three Cortex-A78 cores, and four Cortex-A55 cores.
Ecovacs Deebot X1 OmniThe Ecovacs Deebot X1 Omni takes a lot of the drudgery out of vacuuming and mopping thanks to the Omni Station, but at this hefty price it has a few issues that hold it back from perfection.

The dream of robot vacuums (and mops) has always been a product that cleans a whole floor with minimal maintenance. Many cleaning robots do enough but still fall short of the ideal.

Honor’s new phone, the Honor Play, is aimed at power users and gamers on a mid-range budget, packing in top-of-the-line specifications. It doesn’t have the high-refresh rate display or fancy liquid cooling system of other gaming phones, but it’s got the company’s new GPU Turbo technology, which promises an enhanced visual experience while gaming.
One of the coolest gaming features packed into Windows 10 is the Xbox app. It lets you remotely access your Xbox One console and stream games to a Windows 10 PC. This comes in handy when everyone is watching a boring movie on the living room TV where your Xbox One is connected, but you’d rather play Metro Exodus or Tom Clancy’s The Division 2.
So how does it work? In this guide we show you how to stream the Xbox One to Windows 10.
The Huawei Mate 20 Pro is certainly one of the most popular flagship phones of 2018, and it isn’t hard to see why, thanks to its stacked spec sheet.
We were pretty happy with the phone in our original Huawei Mate 20 Pro review back in October, but how does the phone hold up to real-world usage? Well, I ended up buying one shortly after release, and here are my thoughts after using it since then as my daily driver.
Update, July 29, 2021 (02:23 PM ET): Unfortunately, we received inaccurate information from Motorola.
The article below offers an opinion based on information provided to Android Authority by an official Motorola representative. After publishing the article, we received word from a different Motorola representative, claiming the update policy explained to us by the original Motorola rep was inaccurate. Instead, the update policy for the Edge 20 series is that it will receive at least two Android OS upgrades and at least two years of bi-monthly security updates.
