What is a smart home, and why should you want one?
Features
It’s hard to buy just one smart home device. Once you get started, you’ll want to keep going. Soon enough you’ll have a ton of devices that are smart on their own but feel a little chaotic together. That’s where a good smart home hub comes in to keep things connected and manageable from a single place. At DGIT we’ve already talked about smart hubs a lot, but we thought it was time to make a guide for our Android Authority audience as well.
June 23, 1:40AM: Updated with OnePlus statement.
The dual camera of the OnePlus 5 is one of the phone’s top selling points, so much so that OnePlus built its marketing campaign around the tagline “Dual Camera. Clearer photos.”
Having two lenses working together – a “normal” wide-angle one and a telephoto one – allowed OnePlus to add several cool features, including Portrait mode and a high-quality zoom feature. As usual though, the devil is in the details.
Anker Nano IIWith the latest fast charging technologies and three different power levels to choose from, the Anker Nano II has you well covered from smartphones to laptops. Just be prepared to pay for the privilege.
The increasingly bewildering Anker charging portfolio gets even more stacked. This time we’re looking at the Anker Nano II — an ultra-compact charger designed to power up the most modern smartphones and laptops.
There’s actually an entire Nano II series this time around, which comes in three different power flavors depending on your charging needs.
Error handling, also called exception handling, is a big part of Java, but it’s also one of the more divisive elements. Exception handling allows a developer to anticipate problems that may arise in their code to prevent them from causing issues for users down the line. The reason this can become a nuisance is that some methods in Java will actually force the user to handle exceptions. This is where “try catch” in Java comes into play.
Qualcomm, MediaTek, Samsung and Huawei might rule the mobile processor roost, but that doesn’t mean they’re the only players in town. In the past few years, we’ve also seen another player emerge in the form of China’s Unisoc, mainly gaining ground in the entry-level sector.
Unisoc (formerly Spreadtrum), founded in 2001, is slowly making waves thanks to deals with players like Nokia, Realme, and ZTE. In fact, Unisoc’s most high-profile customer in recent years is Samsung, so there’s a small chance you’ve used a device powered by this brand before.

TL;DR
Samsung has revealed trade-in values for older Samsung devices when buying the S22 series. The company is offering the best trade-in values for the Galaxy S22 Ultra. Samsung has just launched the Galaxy S22 series, and the flagship phones are looking like pretty interesting propositions. The company has long offered trade-in programs, and the S22 series is no exception. So here’s how much of a discount you can expect if you trade in your old Samsung phone.
TL;DR
A 25W Samsung wireless charger was just spotted at the FCC. No current Samsung phones are capable of wirelessly charging at 25W. Could this product’s existence signal fast wireless charging for the Galaxy S22 series? Wireless charging is a cool perk. It’s usually slower than wired charging, but not needing to fumble with a cable sure is nice. Some companies, though, are making wireless charging faster, such as OnePlus, which offers 50W speeds with the OnePlus 9 Pro (combined with its proprietary charging stand).
The Motorola Droid Turbo, a device exclusively available from Verizon, takes everything you may love about the Moto X, and pushes it to a whole other level. With a higher resolution display, better camera, a larger battery, and a more powerful processor, it’s no wonder that consumers have been looking forward to the latest addition to the Droid line. That said, just like any other smartphone available today, this device is not without its issues.
Realme GT 2 ProThe Realme GT 2 Pro isn't the most feature-packed phone in its price range, and some notable omissions hurt its broader appeal. However, there is real value to be found here, especially for performance enthusiasts and media lovers on a budget. The reliable cameras round out a refreshingly designed and refreshingly affordable flagship-tier phone.

Realme’s product lineup has been increasingly looking northwards in its feature set and, true to form, prices have been inching up as well.
Bigger is not always better! This principle can be applied to almost everything that surrounds us, ranging from houses and cars, to sound systems and TV sets. However, since this is a technology oriented blog, I’m going to limit the discussion to smartphones throughout the rest of this article.
For the past couple of years, big displays have been the trademark of Android smartphones, especially when compared against their main competitor (ecosystem-wise), the Apple iPhone.
