Google has issued new Android System WebView and Google Chrome updates to address the issue. Update: March 23, 2021 (4 AM ET): Google’s Workspace status page indicates says that the problem with Gmail on Android is fixed. The company says updating Android System WebView and Google Chrome via Google Play Store should now resolve the issue for all users.

Jimmy Westenberg / Android Authority Update, February 17, 2022 (02:27 PM ET): In a peculiar set of events, Google has today updated the February 2022 Android security patch for the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro. The new updates are live on Google’s download pages for firmware OTAs and factory images (h/t 9to5Google). It’s not clear why these updates happened nor what is included with them. Google didn’t make any announcements.
