Of all the amazing technological marvels to have generated excitement here at Android Authority over the past twelve months, few compare to that generated by the upcoming Galaxy Note 3. If you’re anything like me, then you know that big devices hit the sweet spot in terms of being an everything device. Great to browse on, consume media or to tap out a nice email, larger form devices have the potential to transform our mobile computing experience — and Samsung’s Galaxy Note 3 is the gold standard of what a premium, first rate mobile device should be.
There is a part of Gmail that you may not be familiar with. It’s hiding in your settings, in a tab you may not have noticed called “Labs”. Gmail Labs are basically add-ons that you can use in Gmail which give the very popular email client a bit of extra functionality. There are Labs for a great many things – some life-changing, and others just convenient. Overall, it’s a sort of “playground” where Google can test out new features for its webmail client.
I’ve used each and every Pixel phone extensively since the very first one. I like these phones — they’re simple, no-frills smartphones that get quick updates and have great cameras. What’s not to love?
Ha. I don’t need to tell you that Pixel phones have had their fair share of problems in every iteration. Performance issues, poor battery life, and faulty displays are just a few of the things we’ve run into with previous Pixels.

HDR, or high dynamic range, has become one of the biggest selling points for display manufacturers. Just like in photography, HDR aims to recreate images that are more like what our eyes would perceive in the real world.
Put simply, dynamic range refers to the perceived difference between the darkest and brightest parts of an image. If you’re thinking that sounds similar to contrast ratio, that’s indeed true.

With the incredible sales reaching as high as $300 off, the Playbook is not looking as bad as it once did with its original $500 price tag. However, the Playbook does run the Blackberry OS which is a major problem. Therefore, the Dingleberry Jailbreak Download will allow for you to get the Android Market on your Blackberry Playbook. Below we have directions that will show you exactly how to do this thanks to one of the developers.
The Galaxy S5 will ship in four different color varieties, the traditional Shimmer White from previous Samsung Galaxy handsets, Electric Blue, Charcoal Black, and the newest addition Copper Gold. Each of the different color variants features the same perforated back, doing away with the plastic from previous generations.
The Shimmer White certainly keeps the GS5 looking more a like a traditional Galaxy handset, and arguably has the least noticeable perforations on the back, if you’re worried about that sort of thing.

Sharp has announced its new flagship smartphone, the Aquos R6. The device packs a 1-inch camera sensor with Leica-designed optics. It also features a 240Hz IGZO OLED display. It seemed improbable a few years ago that a smartphone would pack camera sensors equivalent in size to dedicated shooters. Now, it seems that Sharp, partnering with Leica, has achieved this with its Aquos R6 flagship.
Sharp’s latest device features a rear camera array headlined by a 20MP 1-inch primary camera sensor.

Premium iPhones and some of the best Android smartphones might grab all the attention, but mid-range devices remain the bread and butter of all smartphone brands. Even Apple, the poster child of luxury electronics, with the associated price tags, has long had a relatively affordable handset or two in the mix. The launch of the iPhone SE line solidified that stance with a price and feature set that positioned it as the perfect first iPhone, an iPhone for kids, or even as a second phone.
