A few days before CES 2020 kicked off, a report from Wave7 Research stated that 90% of all postpaid (on-contract) phones sold in the US in December were either Samsung or Apple.
It’s no surprise therefore that the US market is becoming less of a focus for phone makers not named Apple or Samsung, and that was visible at CES. We had very few interesting smartphone announcements at the show, unlike some previous years.
On May 6, the latest feature film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe franchise hits movie theaters. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is the second stand-alone film to star the Master of the Mystic Arts, but it’s also looking like it will incorporate some very unique interactions from both within, and even outside, the MCU. That’s because Steven Strange has to deal with a threat that could destroy not just the MCU, but the entire multiverse.

TL;DR
The upcoming Motorola Moto G82 has leaked online. Moto’s new phone is tipped to offer similar specs to the Redmi Note 11 Pro 5G. Motorola’s Moto G series doesn’t offer the most bang for buck, but these phones are still respectable, no-frills propositions for the most part. We’ve already seen the company step up with recent G series phones, and now the Moto G82 has leaked in all its glory.
Current Google CEO Sundar Pichai once said he wanted to see Chrome and Android in every screen available, a goal that is now looking more real than ever. Android is obviously all over the spectrum, but there is a whole other beast Google has been very good at taking over the market with – Chrome OS.
This web-based operating system now exists on laptops, desktop computers and even all-in-one PCs. These are known as Chromebooks, Chromeboxes and Chromebases, but that is not where Google wants to let things end.
These days everyone has their eyes and ears focused on the gap that is the pending launch of the Galaxy S6 Active. Will it truly bring back the removable battery and microSD card support? Will it have a QHD display? Will it make use of a trio of physical buttons again? And what of the camera? Rumors are abound, but nothing solid has yet to be sold by Samsung. On the other hand, those who owned the older Galaxy Active devices are no doubt wondering when their past purchase will be laced with Lollipop.
That means the S Pen included with the Galaxy Tab A will not have Bluetooth capabilities like the one that comes with the Samsung Galaxy Note 9. On the plus side, though, that means it also won’t need to be charged to fully work.
The Galaxy Tab A is no powerhouse. It features Samsung’s Exynos 7904 octa-core chipset, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage (which can be expanded up to 512GB using a microSD card), and an 8MP rear camera paired with a 5MP selfie camera.
Just yesterday, Verizon took the wraps off the brand new Motorola Droid Turbo 2 and Motorola Droid Maxx 2. While the latter is covered in a strong panel of Gorilla Glass 3, the former, which is the higher-end of the two, sports what Motorola is calling its new ShatterShield technology. What does that mean? The company walks us through just what makes up the Droid Turbo 2’s display.

The HTC U11 is here and it’s both familiar and, in a sense, completely new. It’s familiar because the U11 looks and feels like a refined version of the U Play and U Ultra, which HTC introduced earlier this year. And it’s new because it’s a departure from the iconic metallic design that most recent HTC flagships have been known for. Instead you get an eye-catching glass construction that’s very similar to the other phones in the U series.
Huawei Mate 9The Mate 9 brings a familiar design with more powerful internals, a clever dual camera and a revamped software experience. The result is an excellent big-screen Android smartphone that is easily Huawei's best ever.

The spectacular failure of the Galaxy Note 7 earlier this year has presented an opportunity for companies to create the best big-screen Android alternative and Samsung’s misfortune could play right into the hands of Chinese OEM Huawei.
It’s been two years since Huawei released the P30 Pro — a device that would go on to be the last Huawei flagship with Google services. The Chinese giant has launched several flagship smartphones since the introduction of the crippling US trade embargo, but none have had access to the backbone of Android’s entire app experience.
Today I want to take a look at the P30 Pro in 2021 to see what value this once innovative smartphone can bring in 2021.
