OnePlus said there wouldn’t be T-series phones launched this year, but we’re guessing that only applied to the OnePlus 9T. Instead, the company has decided to launch the OnePlus 9RT, seemingly being positioned as a follow-up to the OnePlus 9R.
The biggest upgrade over the previous release might be the switch from a Snapdragon 870 SoC to the new generation Snapdragon 888 chipset. You’re also getting 8GB to 12GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128GB to 256GB of UFS 3.
Update: The Galaxy S8 Plus model with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal storage space has received a price cut in India. The device went on sale about a month ago in the region (June 9) for Rs. 74,900, the equivalent of around $1,160. Earlier today, retailer Mahesh Telecom tweeted about its reduction on its official Twitter channel. The premium handset can now be purchased for Rs. 70,900 from Samsung's official Indian web portal and brick and mortar stores, though Flipkart still has the phone on sale at the original price.
Update, October 24, 2019 (02:10 PM ET): Originally, we deduced that any Google Home or Google Home Mini smart speakers bricked by the recent update described below would not be replaced by Google. However, it appears that was incorrect.
According to 9to5Google, the company reached out to explain that anyone with a bricked smart speaker due to the firmware update can get a replacement, even if the device is out-of-warranty. Here’s Google’s statement:
We quite liked Samsung’s Chromebook Plus and Pro when we went hands-on with them a couple of weeks ago. One of the most interesting aspects of the new Chromebook range is the processing options between the Plus and Pro models, which feature different ARM and Intel processors respectively.
The former hands in a solid performance, despite ARM’s more energy efficient and less powerful CPU architecture when compared with Intel’s Core M3. More mysteriously, those reading into the Chromebook Plus’ spec sheet will have noticed that this processor is listed as an unbranded “OP1, Made for Chromebooks, Hexa-core” SoC.
HTC never disappoints when it comes to designs, evident in the iconic devices they’ve put together throughout the years. From the HTC HD2 and the Nexus One to the One M7 and One M8, there’s no denying they place a lot of attention on design. As we feast our eyes on its latest flagship, the one-less HTC 10, it’s a phone that not only aims to continue the company’s legacy, but to becomes one of the more notable flagships for the first half of 2016.

For some reason, Google hasn’t posted its usual changelog for this update yet. However, considering the quarterly feature drop comes next month in June, we doubt there is more than the security patch and some bug fixes.

OnePlus today made the Almond version of the OnePlus 7 Pro available to consumers in the U.S. and Canada. The Chinese brand also confirmed the colorway will launch in the U.K. on June 25, just behind the already announced June 14 release date in India
The Almond version of the OnePlus 7 Pro is a limited edition. OnePlus says the phone’s finish was devised thanks to a layer of film beneath the glass.
TL;DR
Alleged specs of Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 888 successor have leaked through a reliable source. The new flagship chipset could transition from the 5nm to 4nm manufacturing process. It could pack the Snapdragon X65 modem, Kryo 780 CPU, and Adreno 730 GPU. The Snapdragon 888 is fairly new and its successor is only expected to be announced sometime in December. However, leaks have already started pouring in for Qualcomm’s next marquee chipset that’ll power flagship phones in 2022.
The Galaxy S6 marked a turning point for Samsung. It was the company’s first flagship smartphone to feature its new super premium design language. Though Samsung ultimately left out a few notable features from the device, it’s hard denying that the S6 is an attractive device. The company ended up bringing over that same design language to the Galaxy Note 5, which turned out to be one of our favorite Android handsets of last year.
