Poll: How often do you upgrade to a new TV?

Dhruv Bhutani / Android Authority

It seems like TVs are one of the more popular items on Black Friday and Cyber Monday, right up there with audio products, gaming-related goodies, and smart home devices.

But a recent article shared in our work Slack group has made me question just how often people are upgrading to a new TV set. So how often are you buying a new TV to replace your old one, then? Give us your answer via the poll below.

Upgrading every year or two seems a little excessive at first glance, but there are indeed some good deals out there. And it’s not uncommon for carriers to bundle a TV with a new smartphone contract.

We totally understand if you only upgrade every five years or more, as TV technology doesn’t move as fast as smartphones and tablets. So a premium smart TV bought in 2016 should still be good for now (although software updates are another story).

Nevertheless, let us know how often you upgrade to a new TV via the poll above.
