Samsung Galaxy S7 sees its last update

In 2016, Samsung released some of the best phones the company has ever made: the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. Four years later, the company will finally call it quits on these handsets after it just released their final updates. Samsung has now removed them both from its list of devices to receive future security updates (h/t: Droid Life).

We recently named the Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge some of the best phones of the last decade. These handsets marked the end of the “old” Samsung before it made some drastic changes to its Galaxy line. Though each new Samsung device sees improvements over the last, it’s sold fewer phones with each passing year since the S7 family.

If you still use a Galaxy S7 or S7 Edge, you should consider upgrading. The handsets will only get more vulnerable as time goes on since they will no longer receive security patches. Samsung has a plethora of newer handsets to choose from, so no matter what you need, the company has you covered.
